For many people one of the most enjoyable aspects of the craft is browsing through the many yarns available in a knitting shop. Knitting consists of loops called stitches pulled through each other.
So, why learn how to knit when you can easily buy finished fabrics in the marketplace? For this reason, knitting was initially developed for garments that must be elastic or stretch in response to the wearer's motions, such as socks and hosiery. Smaller items, such as socks and hats, are usually knit in one piece on double-pointed needles or circular needles.
I drain the water, squashing the sweater into the bowl to get rid of the water. In lace knitting, the pattern is formed by making small, stable holes in the fabric, generally with yarn overs. Repeat the whole procedure till you transfer all stitches from left needle to right needle.
