For many people one of the most enjoyable aspects of the craft is browsing through the many yarns available in a knitting shop. Knitting is worked in rounds (the equivalent of rows in flat knitting) in a spiral.
The local yarn store will often provide assistance if you are having trouble with your pattern, regardless of whether you purchased your knitting supplies from them or a competitor. There is also the cooperative aspect to knitting. A good place to start particularly if you are relatively new to knitting to look for patterns is the yarn skein, which comes wrapped and nearly every one of these will have a pattern on it.
The thread used in weaving is usually much finer than the yarn used in knitting, which can make the knitted fabric bulkier and have less drape than a woven fabric. A simple stitch is completed by creating a beginner knit block. Plenty of finished knitting projects never use more than a single colour of yarn, but there are many ways to work in multiple colors.
Knit it like you would knit any stitch. Keep YOUR knitting on the "Cutting Edge" with FREE patterns.
